The P.F. Chang’s Rock & Roll Arizona Half Marathon course unfolds along an out-and-back loop route that starts and finishes near the Arizona State University campus, near the intersection of Mill Avenue and 3rd Street. From there, the race route takes runners north across the Salt River into Scottsdale, where they’ll run through Eldorado Park and Papago Park before heading back across the river and back toward the Arizona State campus for the race finish, in Tempe Beach Park. Largely fast and flat, the half follows a very gradual overall uphill from the start to about the mile 10 marker, and gains only about 150 feet in elevation throughout its first 10 miles.
