Run each year on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the Seattle Half Marathon takes runners on a course through this city’s streets in the shadow of the famed Space Needle, with plenty of beautiful views along the course of nearby Lake Union and Fremont Cut, alternating between moderately hilly and long, flat stretches. The out-and-back course starts and finishes next to the Seattle Center at the corner of 5th and Harrison, and from there unfolds first through downtown and later along the shoreline of Lake Washington.
