The 2nd Annual Drink MO Wine Run invites runners to the picturesque town of Augusta, Missouri, for a unique running experience that combines the challenge of a race with the allure of wine country. This event, set against the backdrop of Augusta’s quaint and hilly landscape, offers distances for every level of runner: a 5K, 10K, and half marathon.

The race kicks off in the heart of Augusta, winding through its quiet, historical streets before transitioning onto the flat and scenic Katy Trail. Here, 5K and 10K participants will find their turnaround point, while half marathoners venture further into the adventure, entering Klondike Park to navigate its wooded trails. After completing a loop within the park, all runners make their triumphant return to Augusta to cross the finish line.

Celebrations await at the finish line, located near the serene Mount Pleasant Winery, where runners are welcomed with light snacks, drinks, and an award ceremony. Each participant receives a “Passport to Missouri Wine Country,” designed to guide them through a post-race exploration of the area’s renowned wineries and shops, including Noboleis, Augusta Winery, Balducci Vineyards, Montelle Winery, and Mount Pleasant Estates. This passport not only serves as a memento of the race but also as an invitation to discover the rich viticultural heritage of Missouri Wine Country.

The half marathon has a cut-off time of 3.5 hours, while the 5K and 10K races have a more generous limit of 2 hours, ensuring participants have ample time to complete their chosen distance. Race management maintains the authority to remove any participant from the course should it become clear they will not meet the designated cut-off times.
