Held at Oregon Gulch near Ketchum, this unique and stunning trail run will take you on a thrilling adventure through a 13-mile single-track loop surrounded by the beautiful colors of fall foliage.
The course starts and finishes at Oregon Gulch, following well-marked pink trail markers. Runners follow along the river via the Saddle Trail before reaching the turn-around point at Chocolate Gulch, where an aid station is waiting at Fox Creek. From there, the race takes a challenging turn up and over the Oregon-Fox Connector mountain trail, reaching a high point of 7,600 feet, offering majestic mountain views that will take your breath away.
This trail run is not for the faint-hearted, with a vertical climb of 2,323 feet over the course. But it’s worth every bit of sweat and effort, with riders benefiting from fresh mountain air nourished by pure wilderness all around them. The race also offers aid stations at Mile 4.5, Mile 10, and Mile 13.1.
Finishers will receive an event tee shirt and the top three runners will be awarded prizes. There will also be unique spot prizes where everyone stands a chance to win big. For those runners at the top of their game, the fastest male and female finishers will get a free stay at the luxurious Limelight Hotel.
The best part is that this half-marathon not only offers a thrilling race experience but also supports a worthy cause – 10% of the proceeds from the run will be donated to Higher Ground, a charity devoted to helping people with disabilities.
