The annual Mountain Railroad Half Marathon takes place in Everett, PA, and offers a 13.1-mile course on H&BT Rail Trail. Entry fees are non-refundable, and the event will happen rain or shine. The course is an out-and-back route along the H&BT Rail Trail, through woods and farmland. It has gentle up and down grades and a total elevation gain of 400 ft. The surface is made of gravel, crushed stone, and dirt. The race starts at the Tatesville trailhead of the H&BT Rail trail, heading north to the halfway point before returning to the starting location. Awards go to top finishers by age group, and participants get a medal made of wood.
