Runners start and finish the out-and-back route for the race at LP Field, the home football stadium for Nashville’s Tennessee Titans NFL franchise.
From there, runners head east and then head onto the Cumberland River Greenway, a roughly 12-mile-long nature and hiking, walking and running trail that winds along the Cumberland River. A brief break onto some of the Nashville city streets from roughly miles two through six break up the greenway route. From the turnaround point, runners return to the finish line entirely along the greenway route.
Though it’s made up of a combination of approximately five miles of paved trails and nearly seven miles of natural surface (including grass, dirt and wood chips) trails, the stretch of the trail that runners follow during the race will be the paved trail sections only.
