The UW Cherry Blossom Run, featuring Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k races, is a running event held in Seattle, WA, that celebrates the beauty of the University of Washington’s cherry blossoms. This is a two-day event, with 5k events happening on Saturday and marathon, half marathon, 10k, and additional 5ks on Sunday. There is the option for a “sip and stroll”, where 5k walkers or runners can bring their own tea and enjoy the blossoms on the course. The course sends runners through the heart of the UW campus, past the Quad’s cherry blossoms, and along the scenic pathways and green spaces in the school. The half marathon is USATF-certified.
All runners get a shirt and a finisher medal, and everyone is entered into a raffle to win a trip to Japan. The top finishers from each race by gender will be announced by the DJ. The top three finishers win gift cards, a gnome trophy, and a certificate for free shoes.
