Set in nearly the geographic center of Washington State, the town of Wenatchee straddles the great Columbia River that runs north-south through the entire middle of the state, and plays host each April to the Wenatchee Marathon & Half Marathon, which also includes a 10K race.
The course for all three events is scenic and free of traffic, and is open to both runners and walkers (though wheelchairs and jogging strollers are not permitted). Made entirely of paved surfaces, the course is mostly flat with a few gently rolling hills — its lowest elevation is about 560 feet above sea level, and its highest is about 620 feet.
